A jam doesn’t have to be about showing off or having a huge bag of tricks — it’s about bringing your energy, playing with the music, and sharing a few exciting moments with the crowd.
We’ll help you turn the skills you already have into short, punchy jam sequences, add some spectacular finishing touches, and build the confidence to step into the circle and go for it. Come ready to sweat, experiment, cheer each other on — and discover how much fun it is to take the spotlight!
The goal of this class is to get couples as well as individual dancers to fill 6, 8 or 12 fast (!) 8-counts with energetic challenging moves and top them off with dips, slides, lifts and other tricks.
Requirments:
You should be at least an intermediate Shag, Charleston, Lindy Charleston, Balboa or advanced Lindy Hop dancer and feel comfortable with fast tempos.
There will be no rotation in this class. Participants can sign up as couples or triplets with matching stamina, physique and dance level for partner dances or as individuals for solo jamming.
This class is meant as guidance and inspiration for dancers who train together a lot and are in the habit of practicing in between classes.
